McCLELLAND BARCLAY Sterling Silver Repoussé Snail Ring

This is a rare vintage McClelland Barclay adjustable sterling silver ring with a snail design made using the repoussé, or hammered technique. The adjustable band makes it easy to fit. The sterling silver and makers mark are found on the inside of the band. The matching sterling silver snail necklace is also available. Both ring and necklace are featured on p. 129 in the jewellery chapter of my book about the artist and Rice-Weiner & Co.
