Collection: Necklaces
McClelland Barclay necklaces were made by Rice-Weiner & Co. of Providence, RI between 1938 - 1943 and are highly collectible.
Different looks: In this vintage necklace collection, find Art Deco designs with flora and fauna motifs in sterling silver. Art Moderne styles have a very different look, like this rare spectacular Art Moderne choker (shown) featuring multi-colour navettes and clear rhinestones with a gold plated chain. Many of these vintage necklace designs have complimentary bracelets, brooches, earrings and rings.
The McClelland Barclay necklace that started it all: One stunning necklace first caught my attention in a book, and so began my journey of collecting McClelland Barclay costume jewellery. Along the way learning much more about the jewellery, revelations about the maker and this artist, I found his remarkable story had never been told ...and that lead me to write the first ever biography of him, McClelland Barclay: Painter of Beautiful Women and More.
