McCLELLAND BARCLAY Sterling Vermeil Branch & Flower Bud Brooch

McCLELLAND BARCLAY Sterling Vermeil Branch & Flower Bud Brooch

This is a pleasing vintage sterling vermeil brooch design with curled leaves on a long stem. Four flower buds or berries add interest to the streamlined design. The gold-plating has a lovely matte finish. This brooch was made in the 1940s when sterling silver was used for costume jewellery due to restrictions on base metals during wartime.
