McCLELLAND BARCLAY Terrier Dog Ink Blotter
A terrier dog is the handle of this vintage bronze-plated ink blotter holder. This is one of several ink blotter rockers designed by artist McClelland Barclay and made by his company in the 1930s. Ink blotters were necessary desk accessories when fountain pens were still used, before ballpoint pens became common in the late 1950's. A decorative desk accessory for dog lovers and vintage pen collectors.
