McCLELLAND BARCLAY Terrier Dog Pencil Sharpener
Vintage terrier dog pencil sharpener is a handy and adorable desk accessory. The bronze-plated seated terrier is attached to a gold plated lid beside the sharpener, and fitted to a fluted green painted metal cup. Although the pencil sharpener is unsigned, you can find a series of decorative desk accessories featuring similar bronze-plated terrier dogs - letter opener, ink blotter and paperweight. They were designed by artist and dog-lover McClelland Barclay, and made in New York by his company, McClelland Barclay Art Products, Inc. in the 1930s. This little desk companion is sure to get you sharpening your pencil and start sketching or jotting notes!
